MINUTES

Representative Lillie, Chair of Legacy Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 12:49 P.M. on April 3, 2019, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Members present:

A quorum was present at 12:55 P.M.

HF653 (Lillie); Greater Minnesota regional parks and trails funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Lillie introduced his bill.

Testifying on the bill:
-Lisa Barajas, Community Development Director for the Metropolitan Council
-Erika Rivers, Director of Minnesota State Parks and Trails at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
-Renee Mattson, Executive Director of Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission
-Holly Jenkins, Founder and the Director of Wilderness in the City
-Emmett Mullin, Regional Parks Manager for Met Council

Chair Lillie moved that HF653 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1928 (Hansen); Clean Water fund funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Lillie moved that HF1928 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Chair Lillie moved to adopt the H1928A7 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hansen introduced his bill, as amended.

Testifying on the bill, as amended:
-Paul Gardner, Administrator for the Clean Water Council
-Chris Elvrum, Minnesota Department of Health and Clean Water Fund Interagency Coordination Team
-Jen Kader, Senior Program Manager at Freshwater Society

Representative Heintzeman moved to adopt the H1928A6 amendment.

Representative Heintzeman introduced his amendment.

Chair Lillie moved to adopt the H1928A4 amendment.

Chair Lillie introduced his amendment.

Chair Lillie renewed his motion to adopt the H1928A4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Lillie renewed his motion that HF1928, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Wazlawik moved to approve the minutes from March 27, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:17 P.M.
