HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE AND POLICY DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:35 P.M. on January 29, 2019, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Wolgamott moved that the minutes of January 23, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The Minnesota Student Association gave a presentation of the organization mission, vision, goals, and challenges.

-Christina Laridaen, Government Affairs Team

The Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans gave a presentation of the organization and current challenges facing students.

-Dave Sukharan, Research Assistant

The Council on Minnesotans of African Heritage gave a presentation of the organization and current challenges facing students.
Testifying:
-Justin Terrell, Executive Director
-Jasmine Carey, Legislative Coordinator

The meeting was adjourned at 4:01 P.M.
