GREATER MINNESOTA JOBS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCE DIVISION MINUTES

Representative Ben Lien, Vice Chair of the Committee on Greater Minnesota Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 12:46 PM on February 27, 2019, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sandstede moved that the minutes of February 25, 2019, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Lien moved that HF 108 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Sundin presented HF 108, a bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money for water infrastructure in Twin Lakes Township; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Testifying on HF 108:

• Mark Theil, Carlton County Commissioner

Vice Chair Lien renewed the motion that HF 108 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Lien moved that HF 959 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Sundin presented HF 959, a bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Vice Chair Lien renewed the motion that HF 959 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Lien moved that HF 181 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Murphy presented HF 181, a bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money to the Public Facilities Authority for the purpose of debt relief for the Duluth North Shore Sanitary District.

Testifying on HF 181:

Vice Chair Lien renewed the motion that HF 181 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Lien moved that HF 313 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Schomacker presented HF 313, a bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money for the Red Rock Rural Water System to provide expanded water service to the region; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Vice Chair Lien renewed the motion that HF 313 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Lien moved that HF 1308 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Hansen presented HF 1308, a bill for an act relating to capital investment; appropriating money for wastewater infrastructure improvements in West St. Paul; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.

Vice Chair Lien renewed the motion that HF 1308 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
