MINUTES

Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Division, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:02 am on May 4, 2020 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Kunesh-Podein moved that the minutes from April 23, 2020 be approved. Motion prevailed.

Rep. Jurgens moved that the minutes from April 30, 2020 be approved. Motion prevailed.

HF 4542 (Davnie) This bill is the K12 omnibus education finance bill. The bill contains COVID-19 provisions, changes to some education programs’ structures and appropriations, February 2020 forecast adjustments, and corrections necessitated by the 2019 K12 finance bill.

House Research detailed and walked through HF 4542.

Rep. Davnie moved that the A5 author’s amendment to the DE 2 amendment be presented before the committee.

During this hearing the committee will walk through and mark up the delete everything amendment to HF 4542. This is the DE 2 amendment that is attached. No outside testimony will be taken.
