MINUTES
Representative Jeanne Poppe, Chair of the Division, called the meeting to order at 9:45 AM on February 20th, 2020, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Brand moved the minutes from February 18th, 2020.
The motion prevailed.
Update on farm and rural stress from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture:
• Meg Moynihan, Agriculture Marketing and Development
• Wayne Pike, Farm Advocate
• Monica McConkey, Rural Mental Health Specialist
Representative Brand moved HF 3224 to be laid over for possible inclusion in the supplemental finance bill.
Representative Brand moved the H3224A1 amendment to HF 3224.
The motion prevailed.
Public testimony from:
• Michele and James Gran
• Josie Lonetti, Associate Director of Public Policy, Minnesota Farm Bureau
• Stu Lourey, Government Relations Director, Minnesota Farmers Union
Representative Brand renewed his motion that HF 3224 as amended be laid over for possible inclusion in the supplemental finance bill.
Update on farm safety:
• Peder Kjeseth, Legislative Director, Minnesota Department of Agriculture
• Paul Hugunin, Agriculture Marketing and Development Division Director, Minnesota Department of Agriculture
• Megan Schossow, Outreach Director, Upper Midwest Agriculture Safety and Health Center
• Nancy Leppink, Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry
