MINUTES

Representative Mike Freiberg, Chair of the Government Operations Committee, called the meeting to order at 9:55am on February 13th, 2020, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Elkins moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 11th, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Lee moved HF3056 be referred to the Capital Investment Committee.

HF3056 (Lee); A bill for an act relating to capital investment; requiring recipients of state general obligation bond proceeds to comply with certain human rights provisions.

Representative Lee moved to adopt HF3056DE2. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Fue Lee presented the bill.

Representative Lee renewed the motion to refer HF3056 to the Capital Investment Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Freiberg moved HF3103 be referred to the Judiciary Committee.

Representative Freiberg moved to adopt HF3103A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3103 (Moran); A bill for an act relating to human rights; adding a definition of race to the Minnesota Human Rights Act.

Representative Rena Moran presented the bill.
