MINUTES

Representative Laurie Halverson, Chair of the Commerce Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:32 p.m. on March 11th, 2020, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids moved to approve the minutes from the committee meeting on March 20th, 2020. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Stephenson assumed the gavel at 2:33 p.m.

HF4042 (Halverson); Fraudulent business filings governing provisions specified relating to the uniform commercial code

Representative Halverson moved HF4042 be re-referred to the Public Safety and Criminal
Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division.

Rep. Halverson moved the H4042A1 (Halverson) amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Stephenson moved HF3859 be re-referred to the Energy and Climate Finance and Policy Division.

Representative Elkins moved HF3842 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Division.

Representative Elkins moved the H3842DE3 (Elkins) amendment.

Representative Elkins offered an oral amendment to H3842DE3.
Page 13, line 28, remove everything after “from” and insert “sections 60A.9851 and 60A.9852;”

Representative Elkins renewed the motion to adopt the H3842DE3 amendment, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT, AS AMENDED, WAS ADOPTED.
