Taxes Committee

MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, began the meeting at 3:30 PM, on March 27, 2017, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids officially called the meeting to order at 3:31 PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Schultz moved the minutes from March 24, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF861 (Torkelson) Commercial motor vehicle provisions, highway-rail grade crossing signs, Transportation Department contract preference requirements, and transportation plan due dates modified.

Representative Davids moved that HF861 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Davids moved the H0861A25 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hertaus moved the H0861A26 amendment.

Representative Hertaus renewed his motion to adopt the H0861A26 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids moved the H0861A22 amendment.

Representative Davids renewed his motion to adopt the H0861A22 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids renewed his motion to refer HF861, as amended, to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF890 (Loon) Early childhood, K-12, and adult education funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Loon moved that HF890 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Loon moved the H0890A49-2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Loon renewed her motion to refer HF890, as amended, to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
