MINUTES

Representative Davids, Chair of the Taxes Committee, began the meeting at 10:15 AM, on February 23, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davids officially called the meeting to order at 10:28 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative Schultz moved the minutes from February 22, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF387 (Knoblach) K-12 education expense subtraction and credit modified, credit extended to tuition, subtraction and credit amounts increased, income phaseout increased, and credit adjusted for inflation.

Representative Knoblach moved HF387 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Knoblach renewed his motion that HF387 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF574 (Urdahl) Refundable credit for attaining a master’s degree in a teacher’s licensure field provided.

Representative Davids moved HF574 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Davids moved the H574A3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF574, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF1250 (Bliss) Telecommunications equipment exemption expanded.

Representative Davids moved HF1250 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Davids renewed his motion that HF1250 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF602 (Anderson) Education expense credit and deduction applied to expenditures for prekindergarten expenses.

Representative Anderson moved HF602 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Anderson renewed her motion that HF602 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 AM.
