MINUTES

Representative Gunther, Chair of the Legacy Funding Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:02 p.m. on March 13, 2017, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Lillie moved that the minutes of March 6, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1662 (Wills) (Minnesota Zoological Gardens funding provided, and money appropriated). Representative Wills moved that HF1662 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF1312 (Olson) (Duluth Children's Museum funding provided, and money appropriated). Chair Gunther moved that HF1312 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

Chair Gunther renewed his motion that HF1312, be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF1852 (Christensen) (Dan Patch statutes funding provided, and money appropriated). Chair Gunther moved that HF1852 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

Chair Gunther renewed his motion that HF1852, be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF1731 (Torkelson) (Clean water fund and parks and trails fund money appropriated). Representative Torkelson moved that HF1731 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Torkelson moved to adopt the H1731A5 amendment (Torkelson).

Representative Torkelson renewed his motion to adopt the H1731A5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2152 (Torkelson) (County fairs funding provided, and money appropriated). Representative Torkelson moved that HF2152 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF2111 (O’Driscoll) (Sauk River Regional Park appropriation extended). Chair Gunther moved that HF666 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF2251 (Dettmer) (Medal of Honor commemorative memorial funding provided, and money appropriated.) Chair Gunther moved that HF2251 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF2035 (Anselmo) (Midwest Art Conservation Center funding provided, and money appropriated). Representative Anselmo moved that HF2035 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF2232 (Pugh) (Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel funding provided, and money appropriated). Chair Gunther moved that HF2232 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Pugh moved to amend HF2232 as follows:

Page 1, Line 6 – delete “$90,000” and insert “$97,410”

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2127 (Clark) (Dakota and Ojibwe language preservation funding provided, and money appropriated). Chair Gunther moved that HF2127 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Urdahl moved to adopt the H2127DE2 amendment (Urdahl).

Representative Urdahl renewed his motion to adopt the H2127DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Gunther moved to adopt the H2127A1 amendment (Clark).

Chair Gunther renewed her motion to adopt the H2127A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2214 (Mahoney) (St. Paul; Chinese garden funding provided, and money appropriated). Chair Gunther moved that HF2214 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Mahoney moved to adopt the H2214A1 amendment (Mahoney).

Representative Mahoney renewed her motion to adopt the H2214A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2192 (Pierson) (African American Registry funding provided, and money appropriated). Chair Gunther moved that HF2192 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.

HF1485 (Ecklund) (Voyageurs National Park clean water project funding provided, and money appropriated). Chair Gunther moved that HF970 be laid over for possible inclusion into the Legacy Funding Finance omnibus bill.
