MINUTES


Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Jobs Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:05 PM on March 27, 2018, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Rarick moved the meeting minutes from March 21, 2018 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3420 (Erickson) Lake Mille Lacs area economic restoration program created, grants for businesses adversely affected by a decline in walleye fishing funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Garofalo moved HF3420 for possible inclusion in a later bill.

Representative Garofalo moved H3420A1 to be adopted in HF3420. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Tina Chapman, Executive Director, Mille Lacs Area Tourism Council; Bill and Linda Eno, Owner/Operators, Twin Cities Pines Resort; Joel Carlson, Community of Minnesota Resorts; Bob Meier, Policy and Government Relations Director, Minnesota Depart of Natural Resources; testified on HF3420.

Representative Garofalo renewed his motion for HF3420 to be laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3759 (Fabian) Pipeline construction and routing authorized.

Representative Fabian moved HF3759 to be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register.

Representative Fabian requested a roll call vote.
