Representative Jim Newberger, Vice Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, started the meeting at 10:01 AM on Monday, March 13, 2017, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Newberger called the meeting to order at 10:11 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative Bahr moved the minutes of March 8, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1495 (Miller) Combined heat and power system and expander generator credit provided.

Representative Newberger moved HF1495 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Tim Rudnicki, Executive Director, Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association; testified on HF1495.

Representative Newberger renewed his motion that HF1495 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Garofalo assumed the gavel at 10:17 AM.

HF1950 (Albright) Federal research and development support program created, and money appropriated. The bill was laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill.
