Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:59 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Sundin moved the minutes of February 8, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF468 (Cornish) Madelia; public infrastructure repair and replacement funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Thissen moved HF468 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Brent Christensen, Madelia Area Redevelopment Corporation; testified on HF468.

Representative Thissen renewed his motion that HF468 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF793 (O'Neill) Minneapolis; YWCA grant funding provided, and money appropriated. The bill was laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill.

Representative O’Neill moved HF793 be laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill.

Mary Jones, Chief Advancement Program Officer, YWCA of Minneapolis; Mahder Girma, YWCA of Minneapolis; testified on HF793.

HF620 (Mahoney) East Side Enterprise Center funding provided, and money appropriated. The bill, as amended, was laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill.

Representative Mahoney moved the HF0620 A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mahoney moved HF620, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill. Deanna Abbott-Foster, East Side Enterprise Center; testified on HF620.
