MINUTES


Representative Schomacker, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:18 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF865 (McDonald) Housing support services created, and human services commissioner required to seek necessary federal waivers.

Representative McDonald moved HF865 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Testimony was heard regarding HF865.

Susie Emmert Schatz, Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities.

Representative McDonald moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative McDonald renewed his motion that HF865, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

A quorum was present at 9:19 a.m.

Representative Peterson moved to approve the minutes from February 14, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF898 (Hamilton) Parenting with a disability support services pilot project, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative Schomacker moved HF898 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections Policy.

Testimony was heard regarding HF898.

Representative Hamilton renewed his motion that HF898 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1169 (Albright) Legislative Health Care Workforce Commission extended, work plan for the commission specified, and money appropriated.

Representative Albright moved HF1169 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections Policy.

Testimony was heard regarding HF1169.

Representative Albright renewed his motion that HF1169 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1167 (Schultz) Temporary preceptor credit established, and report required.

Representative Schomacker moved HF1167 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Schomacker moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testimony was heard regarding HF1167, as amended.

Representative Albright moved HF743 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Albright moved HF743 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections Policy.
