Representative Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:03 P.M. on March 1st, 2018 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Poston moved that the minutes of February 28, 2017 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Non Partisan Staff provided an update on the February forecast.
Adosh Unni, Director of Government Relations, Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) an-swered questions from the Committee.
Greg Keith, MDE Chief Academic Officer, provided an overview of Federal Funding under ESSA. John Morris, MDE Director of Student Support, was available to answer questions from the com-mittee.
Dr. Tom Melcher, MDE Finance Director, provided information on Special Education funding from the forecasts.
The Education Finance Committee was adjourned at 2:52 P.M.
