MINUTES

Representative Joe Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM on March 21, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF3384 be re-referred to the Taxes Committee.

Chair Hoppe moved the A18-0669 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3380 (Scott) Owner and rental agreement definitions amended, late fees and collection costs allowed to be included in liens imposed by self-service storage facilities, and property sale requirements for self-service storage facilities clarified.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF3380 be re-referred to the General Register.

Chair Hoppe moved the H3380A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott offered an oral amendment to HF3380:
on page 2, line 2.17, delete everything after the period and page 2, delete lines 18 and 19; on page 2, line 2.4, delete “and collection costs”
