MINUTES

Representative Joe Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:01 PM on March 21, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Barr moved to approve the minutes from March 20, 2018. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3384 (Knoblach) Purchases of equipment for lawful gambling exemption provided.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF3384 be re-referred to the Taxes Committee.

HF3018 (Bliss) Task Force on Charitable Gambling Taxation established, and money appropriated.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF3018 be re-referred to the Government Operations and Elections Policy Committee.

Chair Hoppe moved the A18-0669 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3523 (Anderson, P.) Minimum biodiesel content level for diesel fuel allowed to be modified during certain times of year.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF3523 be re-referred to the General Register.

HF3380 (Scott) Owner and rental agreement definitions amended, late fees and collection costs allowed to be included in liens imposed by self-service storage facilities, and property sale requirements for self-service storage facilities clarified.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF3380 be re-referred to the General Register.

Chair Hoppe moved the H3380A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott offered an oral amendment to HF3380:
on page 2, line 2.17, delete everything after the period and page 2, delete lines 18 and 19; on page 2, line 2.4, delete “and collection costs”

THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF2320 be re-referred to the Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance Committee.
