MINUTES

Representative Joe Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee began the meeting at 3:04 PM on February 22nd, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Workers' Compensation Advisory council recommendations adopted, department proposals adopted, forbearance of amounts owed to the special compensation fund allowed, intervention procedures modified, and rulemaking authorized.

Chair Hoppe officially called the meeting to order at 3:10 PM. A quorum was present.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF1366 be referred to the Government Operations Committee.

Chair Hoppe moved the A17-0064 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Hoppe renewed the motion that HF1366, as amended, be referred to the Government Operations Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Johnson moved to approve the minutes of February 21st, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF984 (Dave Baker)
Gasoline tax rate signage required.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF984 be re-referred to the Job Growth and Energy Affordability Committee.

Chair Hoppe renewed the motion that HF984 be re-referred to the Job Growth and Energy Affordability Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1128 (Gruenhagen)
Health insurance underwriting, renewability, and benefit requirements modified; individual health plan reinsurance program created, and money appropriated

HF 1128 was heard for informational purposes.

Representative Fenton assumed the gavel at 3:16 PM.

Chair Hoppe assumed the gavel at 3:18 PM.
