MINUTES

Representative Peggy Scott, Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 AM, on March 15th, 2018 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Scott moved to approve the minutes, as corrected, from May 7, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Scott moved to approve the minutes from March 22nd, 2018. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3032 (Layman) Transportation network companies regulated.

Representative Howe moved that HF3032 be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations.

Representative Howe moved the HF3032A5 amendment. THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.

HF3380 (Scott) Owner and rental agreement definitions amended, late fees and collection costs allowed to be included in liens imposed by self-service storage facilities, and property sale requirements for self-service storage facilities clarified.

Representative Scott moved that HF3380 be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Regulatory Reform.
