MINUTES

Representative Peggy Scott, Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:22 AM, on March 6th, 2018 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lesch moved to approve the minutes of February 22nd, 2018. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2391 (Franson) Health savings and medical savings accounts regulated; and asset protection provided.

Representative Scott moved that HF 2391 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF 2391 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION WAS ADOPTED.

HF368 (Bliss) Assignment of military pay or benefits prohibited, and penalties and remedies provided.

Representative Scott moved that HF 368 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Smith moved the HF368A4 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF368, as amended, be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

HF1609 (Smith) Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts enacted.

Representative Smith moved that HF 1609 be re-referred to the Commerce Committee.
Representative Smith moved the A18-0565 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Smith offered an oral amendment to amendment A18-0565 adding the words “the individual’s data included in” between the words “of” and “the” on lines 15.5. THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative Lucero moved that HF 1507 be re-referred to the Education Innovation and Policy Committee.

Representative Lucero moved the 1507DE3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
