MINUTES

Representative Uglem, Vice Chair of the Capital Investment Committee, started the meeting at 3:00 PM on February 21, 2017, in the Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Uglem officially called the meeting to order at 3:13 PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Franke moved the minutes from February 8, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Overview of projects included in the 2015 special session bonding bill.

Anita Benson, Steele County Department of Public Works engineer, testified regarding the Steele County Public Works Building.

Jon Steiner, Polk County Environmental Services Director, testified regarding the Polk County Solid Waste Facility.

Scott Haine, General Manager Worthington Public Utilities and Troy Larson, Lewis and Clark Executive Director, testified regarding the Lewis and Clark Pipeline.

Jeff Pearson, City Engineeer and Steve Devich, City Manager from the City of Richfield, testified regarding the 77th Street Underpass.

Jim Renneberg, Plymouth City Engineer, testified regarding the Plymouth Vicksburg Lane Railroad Crossing.

Trevor Ames, Dean of the University Of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, testified regarding the Poultry Testing Lab and Veterinary Isolation Facility.

Brian Yolitz, Associate Vice Chancellor of Facilities for Minnesota State, testified regarding Minnesota West CTC, Dakota County TC, and Anoka TC.

Rassoul Dastmozd, President, St. Paul College, testified regarding St. Paul College.

Kent Lokkesmoe, Administrator, Management Resources Bureau, Minnesota DNR, testified regarding Flood Mitigation in Otter Tail County and Lake McDonald.

Cap O’Rourke, Little McDonald Lake Association, testified regarding Lake McDonald.

Chairman Urdahl assumed the gavel at 3:57 PM.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:22 PM.
