MINUTES

Representative Hackbarth, Chair of the Mining and Outdoor Recreation Policy Committee, called the twentieth meeting to order at 3:41 P.M. on March 8, 2016, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hackbarth called the meeting to order at 3:41 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Johnson moved to approve the minutes of April 30, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

H.F.2528 Hackbarth, Establishing David Dill memorial trail.

Representative Hackbarth moved that bill H.F.2528 be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy & Finance.

Doug Franzen, Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association, and Judy Erickson, Cook County Chamber of Commerce and Gitchi-Gami Trail Association, presented an overview of the bill and provided testimony.

Representative Hackbarth renewed the motion to re-refer H.F.2528 to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy & Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

H.F.2460 Hackbarth, Appropriating money for construction of the Prospectors Loop ATV Trail System.

Ron Potter, Trail Administrator for Prospector Trail Alliance, presented an overview of the bill.
