MINUTES
Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, called the first meeting to order at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Garofalo called the meeting to order at 12:45 a.m. A quorum was present.
HF27 Davids, Destination Medical Center; computation of state aid payments clarified.
Representative Davids; Joel Micheal, Minnesota House of Representatives Research; Cynthia Templan, Minnesota House of Representatives Fiscal Staff; Kathleen Lamb, Mayo Clinic Destination Medical Center Corporation and Senator Carla Nelson all testified on HF27, as introduced.
Representative Garofalo moved that HF27 be recommended to pass and re-referred to Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Pahoua Hoffman and Adam Arling from the Citizens League gave a presentation on energy issues.
Bill Black and Amanda Dewer, Minnesota Utilities Association; Joel Johnson, Minnesota Rural Electric Association; Rick Evans, Xcel Energy; Loren Laugtug, Ottertail Power and Thor Underdahl, Minnesota Power; provided an overview of electric utilities and gave a presentation introducing members to their respective organizations.
Henriet Hendriks, Minnesota House of Representatives Fiscal Analyst, presented an overview of the committee fiscal accounts.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:27 p.m.
