MINUTES

Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:35 P.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative O’Neill moved the minutes of April 18, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Vogel moved the minutes of April 19, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3925 (Hackbarth) Iron Range resources and rehabilitation commissioner duties modified, Legislative-Citizen Commission created, legislative oversight provided, appropriations and distribution modified, conforming changes made, study required, and money appropriated.

Chair Garofalo moved HF3925 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Garofalo moved the H3925 A-6 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Tom Anzelc, State Representative, 5B; Mark Phillips, Commissioner, Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board; Bob Tammen, citizen; testified on HF3925.

Representative Metsa moved the H3925DE2 Amendment

Representative Metsa withdrew the H3925DE2 Amendment

Representative Garofalo assumed the gavel at 5:11 P.M.

Chair Garofalo renewed his motion that HF3925 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Ways and Means Committee. Representative Metsa requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:
