MINUTES

Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, began the meeting at 12:45 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Garofalo began the meeting at 12:45 P.M. A quorum was not present.

Representative Garofalo moved for a recess at 12:46 P.M.

Representative Garofalo called the meeting to order at 12:50 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Wagenius moved to approve the minutes from the previous hearing. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

David Thorton, Assistant Commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency; Jack Ihle, Director of Environment Policy at Xcel Energy; Joel Johnson, Minnesota Rural Electric Association; Bill Black, Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association; Mark Ourada, American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity; Benjamin Gerber, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce; J. Drake Hamilton, Science Policy Director at Fresh Energy; provided an overview on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan under section 111d of the Clean Air Act.

Representative Baker assumed the gavel at 1:45 P.M.

Representative Garofalo assumed the gavel at 1:47 P.M.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:34 P.M.
