HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES REFORM COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Mack, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform committee, called the meeting to order at 2:55 PM on March 10th, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mack called the meeting to order at 2:55 PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Freiberg moved to approve the minutes from March 4th, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Dean assumed the gavel at 2:56 PM.

Representative Mack moved that HF5 be re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Regulatory Reform.

Testifying on behalf of HF5 were Mike Turpin, General Counsel for MNsure, Bentley Graves, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Chris Schneeman, Seven Hills Benefits, Minnesota Association of Health Underwriters, Katherine Kmit, Minnesota Council of Health Plans, and Rochelle Westlund, Association of Minnesota Counties.

Representative Mack moved to adopt the A9 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Mack moved to adopt an oral amendment:

“Strike section 2.” THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Schultz moved to adopt the A1 amendment.

Representative Dean withdrew the A5 amendment.

Representative Dean moved to adopt the A8 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Liebling moved an oral amendment:

“Delete lines 3.6 through 4.32 from A9 amendment.”

The meeting was adjourned at 4:29 PM.
