EDUCATION INNOVATION POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Erickson, Chair of the Education Innovation Policy Committee, began the meeting at 8:15 AM on January 29, 2015, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

The meeting began at 8:15 AM.

A quorum was present at 8:18 AM and the meeting was called to order.

Jennifer Dugan from the Minnesota Department of Education presented information on requirements, timelines, and enhancements for standardized testing in Minnesota schools.

Representative JoAnn Ward moved to approve the minutes of January 27, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Carol Everson, Amanda Fitzgerald, and Jennifer Riley from Pearson conducted a demonstration of their online system for displaying reports collected from the results of standardized tests. They also had members and staff of the committee try out their new testing programs designed for the iPad.


The meeting was adjourned at 9:59 AM.
