MINUTES

Representative Anderson, Chair of the Agriculture Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:28 a.m. on March 18, 2015 in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson started the meeting at 10:22 a.m. A quorum was not present.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 10:28 a.m. a quorum was present.

Rep. Marquart moved to approve the minutes from March 17, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1906 Pesticide regulatory account use modified, and labeling and advertising prohibitions pertaining to plants beneficial to pollinators modified.

Rep. Rarick moved that HF1906 be re-referred to the Committee on Agriculture Finance.

Testifying on HF1906, Tim Power, Minnesota Landscape Industry, Rep, McNamara, Rep. Hansen, Bill Bond, Minnesota Crop Production Retailers.

Rep. Rarick renewed his motion that HF1906 be re-referred to the committee on Agriculture Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1407 Wine produced by a farm winery classified as an agricultural product for property tax classification purposes.

Rep. Franson moved that House File 1407 be re-referred to Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division.

Testifying on HF1407, Rep. Hackbarth, Leon Ohman, Goose Lake Farm and Winery, Joe Bagnoli, MN Beverage License Association, Steve Hinze, House Research.

Rep. Franson, renewed her motion that HF1407 be re-referred to the Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1623 Large animal veterinarian loan forgiveness program.

Rep. Schultz moved that HF1623 be re-referred to the Committee on Higher Education Policy and Finance.

HF1161 Private truck-wash facilities operated as part of feedlot operations permitting provided.

Rep. Schomacker moved that House File 1161 be re-referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance.
