AGRICULTURE FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Hamilton, Chair of the Agriculture Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M. on February 17, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hamilton called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M. A quorum was not present.

At 10:18 A.M a quorum was present.

United Farm Credit Services (FCS) CEO Marc Knisely and AgStar Financial Services General Counsel Paul Kohls presented on Minnesota’s agricultural economic conditions and credit outlook.

Jessica Fyre with AgCounty FCS and Kevin Koppendrayer with AgStar Financial answered questions.

Dean Dr. Brian Buhr of the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resource Sciences, presented on the University of Minnesota partnering with Minnesota.

Associate Dean Michael Schmitt of the University of Extension, presented on creating a stronger Minnesota through extension and research.

Dean Dr. Trevor Ames of the College of Veterinary Medicine, presented on the College of Veterinary Medicine.

At 11:27 A.M Representative Poppe assumed the gavel.

At 11:35 A.M Representative Hamilton resumed the gavel.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:05 P.M.
