MINUTES

Representative Simon, Chair of Data Practices Subcommittee, called the meeting to order at 11:30am on March 1, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF804 (Scott) Department of Corrections allowed to access data to track employment of offenders sentenced to probation for the purposes of case planning.

Chair Simon moved HF804 be recommended to pass and referred to Civil Law.

Chair Simon renewed motion that HF804 be recommended to pass and referred to Civil Law. The motion prevailed.

HF604 (Myhra) Personnel data disclosure provisions modified.

Chair Simon moved HF604 be recommended to pass and referred to Civil Law.

Rep. XYZ moved H0604DE1 amendment.

Rep. Myhre moved H0604A3 amendment. The motion prevailed.

Chair Simon moved H0604A4 amendment. The motion prevailed.

Rep. Winker introduced oral amendment page 3 line, 27 delete "and" and page 3, line 28 delete everything before the period.

HF782 (Norton) Newborn Hearing Screening Advisory Committee expiration extended, and early hearing detection and intervention program data classified.

Chair Simon moved HF782 be recommended to pass and referred to Civil Law.

Rep. Norton introduced oral amendment to read on page 3, line 10 delete “is not genetic information for purposes of section 13.386" and insert “is not subject to section 144.125, subdivisions 6 to 9." The motion prevailed.

Rep. Simon moved adoption of H0695A8 be recommended to pass. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Simon moved adoption of H0695A9 be recommended to pass. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Simon incorporated change to H0695A11 amendment to page 3, line 16 to delete “and" page 3, line 17 delete everything before the period.

Rep. Simon moved adoption of H0695A11 be recommended to pass. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Simon renewed motion that HF695, as amended, be recommended to pass and referred to Civil Law. The motion prevailed.

Rep. Simon amended minutes from meeting on February 27, 2013 to delete “Committee on Civil Law" and “John Lesch" and add “Data Practices Subcommittee" and “Steve Simon".

Rep. Simon moved approval of minutes, as amended, from meeting on February 27, 2013. The motion prevailed.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:10pm.
