MINUTES

Representative Carlson, Chair of the Ways and Means Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:06 A.M. on Monday, March 24, 2014, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Carlson moved HF2120, First Engrossment.

Rep. Holberg presented HF2120, First Engrossment (Holberg) Data Practices and Personal Data Privacy Legislative Commission created.

HF 2120, First Engrossment, was laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Supplemental Finance Bill.

Rep. Pelowski moved HF3144.

Rep. Pelowski presented HF3144 (Pelowski) Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees funding provided for compensation costs associated with the settlement of employment contracts, and money appropriated.

HF 3144 was laid over for inclusion in the Omnibus Supplemental Finance Bill.

Rep. Hornstein moved that HF1796, Second Engrossment, be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Rep. Erhardt presented HF1796, Second Engrossment (Erhardt) Highway safety work zone prohibitions, requirements, and penalties amended; legislative report mandated; and money appropriated.

Matt Burress, House Research, responded to questions regarding HF1796, Second Engrossment.

Bill Marx, Fiscal Analyst, responded to questions regarding the fiscal impact of HF1796, Second Engrossment.

Rep. Hornstein renewed the motion that HF1796, Second Engrossment, be recommended to be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Poppe moved HF2538.


Rep. Poppe presented HF2538 (Poppe) Farm-to-foodshelf program established, and money appropriated.

HF 2538 was laid over for inclusion in the Omnibus Supplemental Finance Bill.

Rep. Clark moved HF2246.

Rep. Clark presented HF2246 (Clark) Housing; high-risk adults appropriation modified.

HF 2246 was laid over for inclusion in the Omnibus Supplemental Finance Bill

Rep. Paymar moved approval of the minutes of Monday, March 17, 2014. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
