MINUTES

Representative Davids, GOP Lead of Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 12:35 PM March 20, 2014 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Davids assumed the gavel at 12:35 PM.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Paymar moved the minutes from March 19, 2014. The motion prevailed. The minutes were adopted.

Representative Anzelc moved HF 3116. Representative Anzelc presented HF 3116.

HF 3116 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

There was an informational hearing on HF 2463. Representative Atkins presented HF 2436.

Jenny Starr of MN DOR testified on HF 2436.

Chair Davids moved HF 2424. Representative Beard presented HF 2424.

HF 2424 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Chair Davids moved HF 2323. Representative Gunther presented HF 2323.

Melissa Siebke testified on HF 2323.

Representative Schoen moved HF 2267.

Chair Davids moved the A14-4298 amendment. The motion prevailed. The A14-4298 amendment was adopted.

Representative Rosenthal presented HF 2267.

Gary Adkins testified on HF 2267.

HF 2267 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Chair Davids moved HF 2539. Chair Davids moved the H2539A2 amendment. The motion prevailed. The H2539A2 amendment was adopted.

Matt Hughes, of Cooperative Network testified on HF 2539.

HF 2539 was laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Davnie moved HF 1885. Representative Davnie presented HF 1885.

Chair Davids moved HF 3194. Chair Davids moved the A14-0935 amendment. The motion prevailed. The A14-0935 amendment was adopted.

Ward Einess testified on HF 3194.

HF 3194 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Chair Lenczewski moved HF 2420 (Metsa). Chair Lenczewski moved the HF A14-0955 amendment. The motion prevailed. The A14-0955 amendment was adopted.

Joel Michael of House Research presented HF 2420.

Amanda Duerre of MN Coalition of Utility Cities testified on HF 2420.

HF 2420 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Chair Lenczewski moved HF 3245 (Metsa). Chair Lenczewski moved the JM-A02 amendment.

The motion prevailed. JM-A02 amendment was adopted.

Joel Michael of House Research presented HF 3245.

Craig Pagel testified on HF 3245.

There was a discussion on the JM-A02 amendment. Representative Anzelc requested that the JM-A02 amendment be withdrawn.

Chair Davids made the motion to withdraw the JM-A02 amendment. The motion prevailed. The JM-A02 amendment was withdrawn.

HF 3245 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.

Chair Davids moved HF 3249. Chair Lenczewski presented HF 3249.

HF 3249 was laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus tax bill.
