MINUTES

Representative Lenczewski, Chair of Committee on Taxes, called the meeting to order at 12:30 PM March 13 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Morgan presented HF 666 (Morgan) Carry forward period changed from one year to three years, and reallocations reversed for 2013.

The following individuals testified on HF 666:

There was a quorum at 12:35 pm.

Representative Lillie moved HF 666

HF 666 was laid over for possible inclusion to an Omnibus Tax bill.

Representative Benson moved HF 1249

Representative Newton presented HF 1249 (Newton) Sales and use tax extended to snack foods.

The following individuals testified on HF 1249:

Susan Von Mosch, Minnesota Department of Revenue
Jamie Puhl, Minnesota Grocers Association
Bruce Nustad, Minnesota Retailers Association
Steve Rausch

Representative Marquart moved the H1249A1 amendment.

The motion prevailed. The H1249A1 amendment was adopted.

Representative Loeffler moved the minutes from March 5th.

The motion prevailed. The minutes of March 5th were approved.


The meeting was adjourned at 1:13 PM.
