MINUTES

Representative Sheldon Johnson, Chair of the Labor, Workplace, and Regulated Industries Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16 A.M. on March 13, 2013, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Sundin moved that the minutes of March 7, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Sundin assumed the gavel.

HF 1255 (Johnson) Office of Broadband Development established in the Department of Employment and Economic Development, and duties assigned; Department of Transportation required to post a database on its website, and reports required.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 1255 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Policy.

Chair Johnson moved the H1255A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Johnson moved to orally amend HF 1255 as follows:

On lines 4.23 and 5.18, delete "116J.441" and insert "237.85".



Chair Johnson moved that HF 1255, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1069 (Lillie) Labor agreements and compensation plans ratified.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 1069 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 568 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

HF 463 (Kahn) Pregnancy leave required, and employment accommodations required for pregnant women.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 463 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Jobs and Economic Development Finance and Policy.

Chair Johnson moved that HF 463 be laid over.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:57 A.M.
