Chair Thomas Huntley began the seventh meeting of the Health Care and Human Services Finance Committee at 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in Room 200 of the State Office Building without a quorum present.

Continuation of Overview, Health and Human Services 2014-2015 Biennial Budget, by Assistant Commissioner of Continuing Care, Loren Colman.

At 10:22 a.m., a quorum now present, the Chair officially called the meeting to order and the committee legislative assistant noted the roll:

Assistant Commissioner Colman concluded his testimony.

Erin Sullivan-Sutton, Assistant Commissioner, Children and Family Services, gave an overview of their area of the budget. Deborah Schlick, Project Manage r, Office of Innovation and Reform, responded to questions of members.

Dave Hartford, Acting Assistant Commissioner, Chemical and Mental Health Services, gave an overview of their area of the budget. Discussion continued throughout.

Chair Huntley adjourned the meeting at 11:43 a.m.

The Department of Human Services will continue presenting the governor's budget proposal.
Public testimony on the governor's budget will be scheduled for next week.
