Representative Nelson, Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at 10:01 on February 5, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Representative Freiberg moved approval of minutes from January 30, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF153 (Dettmer) Senate District 39 House of Representatives district boundaries adjusted.
Testimony on HF153:

Chair Nelson moved that HF153 be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF155 (Runbeck) Notaries public permitted maximum fees increased.
Chair Nelson moved that HF155 be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register.

Representative Drazkowski moved to amend HF155 as follows:
Page 1, line 1.2, after the semicolon, delete "increasing maximum fees permitted to be charged by", insert "repealing certain maximum fees; repealing Minnesota"; delete line 1.3, insert "Statutes 2010, Section 357.17."; delete line 1.5, insert "Section 1. Repealer."; delete line 1.6, insert "Minnesota Statutes 2010, Section 357.17, is repealed."; delete lines 1.7 through 1.21.
Rep. Dill moved to lay HF155 on the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
