MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:05 A.M. on March 12, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Brynaert moved to have the minutes of March 11, 2013 approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Mariani moved that H.F. 1006 be passed and referred to the General Registry.

Rep. Selcer presented H.F. 1006 (Selcer); Teachers licensed to teach dead and hard-of-hearing students in prekindergarten through grade 12 continuing education clock hour requirements clarified.

The following people testified on H.F. 1006:

Rep. Mariani renewed his motion that H.F. 1006 be passed and referred to the General Registry. THE MOTION PREVAILED

Rep. Mariani moved that H.F. 638 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Education Finance.

Rep. Newton presented H.F. 638 (Newton); Vision therapy pilot project funding provided, and money appropriated.
