REDISTRICTING

MINUTES

Representative Sarah Anderson, Chair of the Redistricting Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m. on February 11, 2011 at the Lyon County Government Center in Marshall, MN.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Chairman Anderson welcomed the public to the redistricting committee meeting.
Committee members were introduced.
Chairman Anderson provided introductory remarks and a brief overview of the redistricting process.

Presentation by Tom Gillaspy, State Demographer MN Dept. of Administration. Presentation on population trends and shifts in Minnesota.

Presentation by Matt Gehring, House Research. Presentation on 2010-2012 Minnesota Redistricting Timeline.

Presentation by Anthony Amato, Associate Director of Demography and Geography. Presentation on population change and population estimation.
