PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIME PREVENTION POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the thirty-first meeting to order at 10:17 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Slocum moved that the minutes of April 12, 2011, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF0721 (Kiffmeyer) Disability parking provisions modified.

Chairman Cornish moved that HF0721 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

The committee heard testimony on HF0721.

Chairman Cornish renewed his motion that HF0721 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1109 (Smith) DWI conviction driver's license revocation period provisions clarified and conformed.

Representative Smith moved that HF1109 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee.

Representative Smith renewed his motion that HF1109 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF0537 (Urdahl) Speeding violation of ten miles per hour over the 60 mile per hour limit provided to not go on a driver's driving record.

Chairman Cornish moved that HF0537 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Major Ken Urquhart testified on the H0537A1 amendment. Representative Smith moved the H0537A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The committee heard testimony on HF0537, as amended.
