MINUTES

Representative Kiffmeyer, Vice Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:34 P.M. on March 15, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hamilton moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 14th, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2525 (Schomacker) Nursing facility rate increase provided for health information.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF2525 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Schomacker moved the H2525A1 amendment

Representative Schomacker moved to incorporate the H2525A1 amendment into HF2525. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Schomacker, Todd Bergstrom, Long Term Care Imperative, and Todd Bergstrom, Long Term Care Imperative, testified on HF2525.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer laid HF2525, as amended, over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF2716 (Schomacker) Nursing facility moratorium exceptions modified.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF2716 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Schomacker moved the H2716A1 amendment

Representative Schomacker moved to incorporate the H2716A1 amendment into HF2716. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Schomacker, Jeff Bostic, Long Term Care Imperative, Todd Bergstrom, Long Term Care Imperative, and Bob Held, DHS, testified on HF2716.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer laid HF2716, as amended, over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Chair Abeler assumed the gavel at 1:02 P.M.

HF2717 (Schomacker) Nursing facility Medicare certification modified.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF2717 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Schomacker, Bob Held, DHS, testified on HF2717.

Chair Abeler laid HF2717 over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF1979 (Schomacker) Minnesota supplemental aid shelter needy provisions modified, and adult foster care homes modified.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF1979 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Schomacker moved the H1979A2 amendment

Representative Schomacker moved to orally amend the H1979A2 amendment as follows:
After the period on Line 1.10, insert "This certification is voluntary for license holders."
Delete Line 2.4
Line 4.17, Delete the word "developmental"
THE MOTION WAS PREVAILED.

Representative Lohmer moved to incorporate the H1979A3 amendment into HF1979. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Abeler laid HF1979, as amended, over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
