Representative Denny McNamara, Chair of the Committee on Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Policy and Finance called the thirty-fifth meeting to order at 8:25 a.m. on March 31, 2011, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 8:25 a.m.
HF 984 (Hackbarth) Game and fish; aquaculture provisions modified; compensation and assistance provisions for crop damage by elk modified; fish and wildlife management plan requirements modified; taking, possessing, and transporting wild animal provisions modified; acquisition procedures modified; penalty and license provisions modified; invasive species control provisions modified; and landowner liability for state walk-in access program limited.
Rep. Hackbarth moved that H.F. 984 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections.

A11-0225 delete all amendment to H.F. 984. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Ed Boggess and Roy Johannes, MN Department of Natural Resources, testified on H.F. 984.
Rep. Wagenius moved to orally amend H.F. 984 as follows:
Pg 5, line 19, after "eggs" remove "and" and insert "or".
The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.
Greta Gauthier, MN Department of Agriculture, Geir Frisoe, MN Department of Agriculture, Lou Cornicelli, MN Department of Natural Resources, Kathy Hahne, citizen, Leslie Davis, citizen, Tom Keliher, MN Deerhunters Association, testified on H.F. 984.
Representative Scott moved that the minutes from the committee meetings on March 23, 2011 and March 24, 2011 be adopted. The motion prevailed.
Rep. McNamara laid H.F. 984 over.
