MINUTES

Representative Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. on March 7, 2012, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Diane Anderson moved HF2251 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee.
Lin Nelson from Blue Cross/Blue Shield testified.
Representative Diane Anderson renewed her motion. The motion prevailed.
Representative Mullery moved to approve the minutes for February 29, 2012 and March 6, 2012. The motion prevailed.

Representative Sanders moved HF2500 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the General Register.

Wesley Young testified.

Doug Franzen from American Financial Credit Counsel testified.

Ron Elwood from MN Legal Aid testified.

Representative Sanders renewed his motion that HF2500 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register. The motion prevailed.

Representative Mazorol moved that HF2569 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Mazorol moved amendment H2569DE1. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Ron Elwood from MN Legal Aid testified.

Doug Franzen from ASCC testified.

Representative Mazorol renewed his motion that HF2569 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the General Register. The motion prevailed.

Representative Kieffer moved HF2459 for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Representative Kieffer moved amendment H2459A3. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Representative Kieffer moved amendment H2459A2. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Jennifer Chou from Angel Share Wine Partners testified.

Joe Bagnoli testified.

Jim Arlt testified.

The Chair laid HF2459 over for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Representative Hoppe moved HF2432 for possible inclusion in the liquor omnibus bill.

Jennifer Schoenzeit testified.

Jason Alvey testified.

The Chair laid HF2432 over.

The chair adjourned the meeting at 7:19 PM.
