MINUTES

Representative Westrom, Chair of the Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:03 AM on Monday, April 18, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Drazkowski moved to approve the minutes from April 11, 2011.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Drazkowski moved to approve the minutes from April 13, 2011.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF 55 (Woodard) Charter school authorizer approval deadline modified.
Chair Westrom moved that SF 55 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.
Chair Westrom moved to adopt the S0055-A6 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Westrom moved to lay SF 55 on the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF749 (Smith) Family Reunification Act of 2011 created.

Rep. Holberg moved that HF 749 to be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.

Chair Westrom moved to approve the H0749A1 amendment to the H0749DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Westrom moved to approve the H0749DE1 amendment, as amended.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Westrom moved to take SF 55 from table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF 55 (Woodard) Charter school authorizer approval deadline modified.

Chair Westrom moved to orally amend S0055-A6 amendment as follows:
Page 1, line 10 after "must" insert "direct the charter school that it"
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Westrom moved to adopt the H0473A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
