MINUTES

Representative Westrom, Chair of the Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:41 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Scott moved to approve the minutes from March, 14, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 469 (Gruenhagen) Harassment restraining order jurisdiction for petitions provided.

Representative Gruenhagen moved that HF 469 to be passed and sent to the General Register.

Representative Gruenhagen moved that HF 469 to be passed and sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF695 (Mack) Civil immunity extended to municipalities that donate public safety equipment.

Chair Westrom moved that HF 695 be passed and re-referred to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.

Representative Simon moved to adopt A11-0150 amendment.
Representative Simon withdrew the motion to adopt the A11-0150 amendment.

Representative Simon moved to orally amend HF 695 as follows:
Page 1, line 9, delete "by the" insert "by a municipality to another"
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Westrom amended the original motion that HF695 be sent to the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee to HF695, as amended, be sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF625 (Anderson) Liability protections provided for those grazing livestock on state land.

Representative Drazkowski moved to take HF625 off the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED

Representative Drazkowski moved that HF625 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Agricultural Policy and Finance Committee.

Chair Westrom moved H0625DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Westrom renewed motion that HF625, as amended, be passed and re-referred to the Agricultural Policy and Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
