MINUTES

Representative Westrom, Chair of the Civil Law Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:33 p.m. on February 16, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Hilstrom moved to approve the minutes from February 14, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 211 (Wardlow) Unlawful or deceptive trade practice actions modified, and class action court order appeals permitted.

Representative Wardlow moved that HF 211 be recommended to pass re-referred to Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee.

Representative Wardlow moved to orally amend H0211-DE1 amendment as follows:
Page 1, line 25, delete "commenced" and insert "that accrue". THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee heard testimony on HF 211, as amended.

Vice Chair Drazkowski moved that HF 250 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to Committee on Ways and Means.

Vice Chair Drazkowski assumed gavel at 1:41 p.m.

Representative Holberg moved to adopt the A11-0059 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The committee heard testimony on HF 250, as amended.

Vice Chair Drazkowski moved that HF 250, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
