MINUTES


Debra Hilstrom, Chair of the Public Safety Policy & Oversight Committee, started the seventh meeting of the House Public Safety Policy & Oversight Committee at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Hilstrom announced that the following bill was referred to the Crime Victims/ Criminal Records Division by memo:

HF248 (Paymar)

A quorum was present at 1:04 and the meeting was officially called to order.

The following individuals continued, from the January 29th hearing, a presentation on the Minnesota Department of Corrections 2008 Performance report, and took questions from the committee:

Deb Kershner, Minnesota Department of Corrections
Lisa Cornelius, Minnesota Department of Corrections
David Crist, Minnesota Department of Corrections
Nanette Larson, Minnesota Department of Corrections


Chair Hilstrom asked for a motion to approve the minutes of January 29, 2009.

Rep. Kelly moved to adopt the minutes of January 29, 2009.
THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:21pm.
