Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Local Government Division, called the twelfth meeting to order at 4:30 P.M. on March 30, 2009, in Room 500 South of the State Office Building.

A quorum was not present

A quorum was reached

Representative Nelson moved approval of HF 17 before the committee to pass and be re-referred to the State & Local Government Operations Reform, Technology & Elections Committee

Representative Nelson renewed his motion to pass HF 17, and re-refer to the State & Local Government Operations Reform, Technology & Elections Committee

The motion prevailed

Representative Sterner assumed the gavel

HF 1849 (Nelson): Local governmental unit mandates removed, extended, and modified

Representative Nelson moved approval of HF 1849 before the committee to pass and be re-referred to the State & Local Government Operations Reform, Technology & Elections Committee

Representative Nelson moved the H1849DE1 amendment

Representative Nelson offered the language of H1849A2 be incorporated into the H1849DE1 amendment

Representative Nelson incorporated it into the H1849DE1
