MINUTES


Representative Mahoney, Chair of the Bioscience and Workforce Development Policy and Oversight Division called the twenty-eighth meeting to order at 10:30 A.M. on February 24, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Poppe moved approval of the Minutes from the February 17, 2010 meeting and approval of the Minutes from the February 23, 2010 meeting.
Minutes are approved.

Representative Obermueller moved H.F. 2946 be recommended to pass and returned to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance Division.

Representative Kalin presented H.F. 2946, a bill

Expanding a grant program for public infrastructure for bioscience businesses to include clean energy businesses.

Testifying were:

Terry Kuhlman, Public Facilities Authority

Representative Obermueller renewed his motion that H.F. 2946 be recommended to pass and returned to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance Division.

Representative Knuth presented H.F. 2837, a bill

Amending the definition of "green economy" to include the concept of "green chemistry"

Representative Obermueller moved to amend H.F. 2837 as follows: See H2837A1
AMENDMENT ADOPTED.

Representative Obermueller renewed his motion that H.F. 2837, as amended, be recommended to pass and returned to the Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance Division.
