Representative Julie Bunn, Vice-Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:20 P.M. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 in Room Basement of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Murphy moved that the minutes of January 23, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF29*/HF53 (E. Murphy) Pharmacy practice provision changed in administering influenza vaccines

Representative Murphy moved that SF29 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight.

Representative Murphy presented SF29.

SF230*/HF240 (Norton) Licensure for physician assistants created

Representative Norton moved that SF230 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight.

Representative Norton moved the S0230A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF535 (Thao) Health-related licensing board provisions modified

Representative Thao moved that HF535 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight.

HF565 (Abeler) Chiropractor license provisions changed

Representative Abeler moved that HF565 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight.

Representative Abeler moved to amend HF565 as follows:

Page 1, lines 16 and 23, after "Council" delete "of" and insert "on"

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Abeler moved the H0565A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Murphy moved that HF1077 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight.

Representative Murphy moved the H1077A1 amendment with the following change:

Page 2, line 21 delete "an accredited" and insert "a"

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
