Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:50 P.M. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Abeler moved the minutes of February 16, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2623 (Hosch) Children's therapeutic services coverage clarified.

Representative Thissen moved that HF2623 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Representative Hosch presented the bill.

Representative Thissen renewed his motion that HF2623 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2752 (Emmer) Amended death record required when ordered by the court.

Representative Emmer moved that HF2752 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Civil Justice.

On a vote of 9 AYES and 6 NAYS THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2597 (Ward) Board of Medical Practice limited from bringing a disciplinary action against a physician for prescribing, administering, or dispensing long-term antibiotic therapy for chronic Lyme disease.

Representative Abeler moved that HF2597 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Justice.

Representative Abeler moved the SCS1631A-3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Ward presented the bill.
