Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:20 P.M. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Murphy moved the minutes of February 11, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1641 (Liebling) Gifts from drug or medical device manufacturers or distributors to physicians and formulary committee members banned.

Representative Liebling moved that HF1641 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.

Representative Liebling moved the H1641A1 amendment with the following changes:

Page 1, line 1.16 delete "35" and insert "36"
Page 1, line 1.19 delete "2" and insert "3"
Page 1, line1.22, after "distributor" insert "or medical device manufacturer or distributor"
Page 1, line 1.24, after "medication" insert "or device"

THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Liebling presented the bill.
